A native of Southern California, Michael's passion for sailing goes back to his days as a teenager, where he spent summers at his grandparents' beach cottage on Balboa Island. He learned to sail smaller boats in Newport Harbor before graduating to bigger boats after settling in the Bay Area. While Michael always enjoys a challenge, his interest in racing sailboats competitively never jelled. Instead, this dedicated businessman views his sailing as a mental health holiday from the pressures of every daily life. After earning his bachelors degree from UC Berkeley in cultural anthropology and his MBA from UCLA, Michael worked for two renowned San Francisco advertising firms: Foote, Cone and Belding and Allen and Dorward. Michael was chosen to work on several high-level accounts, including Clorox, Citicorp and Qantas. In 1986 seeking a new challenge, Michael decided to pursue opportunities in residential real estate and has never looked back. While few things in life compare to being at full sail, nowhere is Michael more in his element than helping clients with one of life's most important decisions: the purchase or sale of their home. With more than two decades of experience as a seasoned real estate professions, as well as a Managing Broker, and over 400 successful real estate transactions, Michael loves the decision he made to enter real estate. He offers a level of knowledge, experience and insight that benefits his clients and provides them with a competitive advantage. Michael has lived in the Upper Rockbridge neighborhood of the Oakland Hills for over 25 years, raising a family. As a result, Michael's ties to the community, both professionally and personally, allow him to provide his clients with a level of insight into the neighborhood that is unsurpassed. His commitment to the community underlies his philosophy of giving back to make Oakland a better place for all of us. Licensed California Real Estate Broker
